/Here on this page are shown the final renderings and sketches  I have made for this project, after coming through several layout options and various finishes for floors and walls. Among other things, we´ve designed a special denim furniture with drawers for the store. Retail space is mainly split in two longitudinal sections divided by a wall, while a curved panel at the entrance and single steel volumes give vibrancy to the space. The design development has always been brought on through the elaboration of both 3D models and hand sketches.

As per Berlin, also this project respects and brings to evidence the structural parts of the existing space, in this case a building which has had several refurbishments since end of 1800, showing an interesting mix of structural materials on surfaces as the ceiling. MEP and lights are nakedly shown when looking above. Steel is used with 3 different finishes such as brushed, pen-shot and chrome (polished). The staircase volume in this store hosts a fitting room that almost becomes an illusionistic experience. Facade respects the existing building but let windows and door become lenses to the inside world.
